 October diaries

First of all, THE PARTY!! It was genuinely so much fun. We spent the evening together, laughed SO much, and honestly, I had such a good time. We’ve also talked a little bit on Instagram since then, so there’s that! But I’ll save the details for a bigger update later, where I’ll tell you everything about how things are progressing and talk about all the adorable advice you’ve given me. Seriously, I’m so grateful for every single one of you who took the time to send me something. You have no idea how much it helps!!

And now, Monday means going back to school, and I feel like that’s when things might actually start getting serious. So stay tuned, because I’ll definitely keep you updated.

Other than that, HOW is October already almost over?! I’m probably not doing anything for Halloween this year, and I’ll most likely spend it alone, which is a little sad, but it’s not the end of the world. At least I’m going to see a fashion exhibition this afternoon, which I’m really excited about!

Also, I know I might have already said this in another post, but I’m genuinely SO grateful for my friends. Like, sometimes I just stop and realize how lucky I am to have such amazing girls in my life. They make everything so much better, and I honestly don't know what I'd do without them.

And finally, I think we can all agree that Christmas season is approaching WAY too slowly. Yesterday, while getting ready for the party, I was already listening to my Christmas playlist. Yes, I know it's still October, but I genuinely cannot wait for the cozy evenings, Christmas movies, decorations, and everything that comes with this time of year. I'm SO ready for it already.

See you soon <3

 Plans, pencils & plot twists

Okay, first of all, I'm a little disappointed because my Halloween party got cancelled, which means I'm basically not celebrating Halloween this year. I'm still a little salty about it, not gonna lie. But thankfully, I have something to look forward to!

On a happier note, I've been having SO much fun working on my blog lately! I've added a bunch of new interactive widgets, and I'm honestly so happy with how everything is coming together. I love that the blog is becoming more personal, with little interactive things that reflect my interests and my personality. It's slowly turning into its own little universe, and seeing all my ideas come to life is such a good feeling.

On Wednesday, I'm going to a friend's birthday party, and the plans sound SO fun. It's honestly looking like it's going to be such a good night, and there's one little detail worth mentioning: the guy I talked about in my advice popup is going to be there too. So, yes, I'm definitely curious to see how that goes. I'll keep you updated if anything interesting happens.

On another note, I've gotten back into drawing lately, and I'm actually really happy about it. I feel like I had lost my ability to render skin properly, especially when it came to coloring and shading, but I'm finally starting to get the hang of it again. It's such a good feeling when something you thought you'd lost starts coming back to you. If you ask maybe I will show you in another post...

I've also started watching You, and I'm already almost done with season one after only two viewing sessions. I have a feeling this series is going to take over my free time for a while.

And finally, I should probably mention that a post about The Shards will be coming soon. I still have a LOT to say about that series, especially after that ending, so expect me to talk about it here at some point.

That's pretty much what's been going on lately. A cancelled Halloween party, a birthday to look forward to, drawing again, and yet another series taking over my life. Not the worst little life update, after all.

Also, a little update on the advice box: I've received around ten responses, maybe even a few more, and I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who took the time to send me some advice. It's genuinely so sweet of you, and your answers are actually helping me a lot! If you haven't submitted anything yet, you can still do it whenever you want. I'd really appreciate it, and every little bit of advice is useful to me. I'll share an update with you all soon, so stay tuned!

Give you update of the party soon girlies !

 A little life update

Hi girlies!

It's been a little while since I last posted, so I thought it was time for a little life update!

First of all, I wanted to say how incredibly grateful I am to Indigenious Diva  for adding me to her Divas of the Week list on her blog. It genuinely made me so happy! I've been putting so much time, love, and effort into Hey Sourgirl lately, and seeing other bloggers notice and appreciate my little corner of the internet means more to me than you could imagine. Thank you so much!

I'm also finally on holiday, which feels SO good, even though I have a ridiculous amount of homework waiting for me. But honestly, I'm mostly excited about Halloween! My friends and I have so many things planned: cute pictures, lots of Halloween makeup, different costumes, and just making the most of the spooky season together. I already know we're going to have the best time, and I can't wait to share some of it here!

On another note, I think I've developed a tiny obsession with baby doll dresses lately. There's just something about them that I find SO cute! I love how they have that vintage, slightly doll-like vibe, and I feel like they would look so pretty on me. They're not necessarily the kind of clothes I usually wear, but I actually have quite a few different clothing styles depending on my mood, so I love discovering new aesthetics and experimenting with different looks. I especially love the way baby doll dresses look with tights, little boots, and cute accessories. Plus, I think the whole aesthetic contrasts really nicely with my super fair skin, light brown hair, and brown eyes, which makes me love it even more. I can already picture so many outfits I'd love to put together, especially for autumn and winter. Honestly, I could spend hours looking for the perfect baby doll dresses on Pinterest and second-hand clothing websites.

And finally, I just finished watching The Shards, and I LOVED it. But like, WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT JUST STOPS THERE?! I've been waiting for the new episode all week, only to realize episode nine was actually the last one. EXCUSE ME?! Now I have to wait for another season to find out what happens? I NEED ANSWERS IMMEDIATELY, PLEASE.

Also, a little reminder that I'd LOVE for you guys to add me on Letterboxd ! If you're into movies too, please come find me there. I'd love to see what you're watching, discover new films through your reviews, and connect with more of you outside the blog. Let's be movie buddies!

Anyway, that's pretty much what's been going on in my little world lately. I hope you're all doing well, and tell me, what are your plans for Halloween? I'd love to know!

See you soon girlies,
