 Unravel Me

by Tahereh Mafi

About

After reading Shatter Me, I immediately needed to know what would happen next. And honestly? Unravel Me took everything I loved about the first book and made it even more intense. The relationships, the tension, the drama, the secrets... and of course, Aaron Warner.

This book is basically where everything starts getting completely chaotic, and I was absolutely here for it.

Synopsis

Juliette is now staying at Omega Point, trying to adjust to a completely new life surrounded by people like her. But while she finally has a place where she might belong, nothing feels as simple as she hoped.

The Reestablishment is still a threat, Warner is still impossible to forget, and Juliette is starting to realize that she doesn't really know who she is—or what she wants. As the situation becomes more dangerous, relationships get complicated, secrets come out, and Juliette has some very difficult choices to make.

First Impressions

I was hooked from the beginning. Unravel Me feels more intense than Shatter Me, especially because we get to see more of Omega Point and the other characters.

But let's talk about the most important thing for a second: OMG, Aaron Warner.

Because seriously... every time he appeared, I was immediately interested in what was happening. He's such a complicated character, and that's exactly what makes him impossible to ignore. The tension between him and Juliette is also INSANE.

And Juliette and Warner? I'm sorry, but OMG.

Their relationship is complicated, dramatic, confusing, and basically everything I love in a fictional couple.

Juliette can definitely be a little annoying sometimes, though. I understand that she's going through a lot, and obviously her whole life has been completely turned upside down, but there were moments where I just wanted to tell her: PLEASE. MAKE A DECISION.

Still, I love seeing her slowly become stronger and start figuring herself out.

Favorite Moments

Honestly, most of my favorite moments involve Aaron Warner and Juliette.

Their scenes together are always so intense because you never really know what is going to happen next. There's so much tension between them, and every conversation feels important.

I also loved discovering more about Warner in this book. He's definitely not as simple as he first seemed, and learning more about him completely changed the way I saw his character.

And again...

Juliette + Warner = OMG.

Final Thoughts

Unravel Me was chaotic, emotional, frustrating, and completely addictive.

The story gets darker, the characters become more interesting, and the relationships get SO much more complicated. Juliette annoyed me sometimes, I'm not even going to lie, but I still loved seeing her character develop throughout the book.

And Aaron Warner?

Yeah. I get it now.

If you enjoyed Shatter Me, I definitely think Unravel Me is worth reading—especially if you're ready for more drama, more tension, and some absolutely unforgettable Aaron Warner and Juliette moments.

Rating: 4.5/5

Until the next story,
